Goucher College's 133rd Commencement was held on Friday, May 24, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. on the Margaret M. Winslow Great Lawn, with President Kent Devereaux
presiding over the ceremony.
Baltimore County Executive John “Johnny O” Olszewski Jr., Class of 2004, delivered the keynote Commencement address.

We invited all graduates, families, friends, faculty, and staff to reflect on the meaning of the college experience and the transition of Commencement through responsive readings, prayers from many religious and ethnic traditions in different languages, music, and reflections from a graduate and a faculty or staff member.
The Goucher community was cordially invited to celebrate the academic and artistic achievements of its students at the annual Convocation celebration. Convocation not only recognizes students who have earned academic honors but also celebrates artistic and civic achievements. A variety of honors and awards will be bestowed.
Affinity Graduation Ceremonies honor the accomplishments and experiences of Goucher graduates from historically marginalized and underrepresented communities. These ceremonies highlight the personal and academic successes that have shaped a student’s journey at Goucher College. While celebrating common experiences, Affinity Graduation Ceremonies also provide an opportunity for reflection, gratitude, and inspiration for aspiring seniors.

The ceremony is an annual celebration to induct and celebrate the achievements of Goucher students elected to join the Beta of Maryland Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa.

Students are not issued diplomas at commencement, only a diploma cover. Diplomas are mailed to May semester graduating students between mid-June and the end of July. Graduating students not participating in commencement receive their diplomas according to the same timeline; a cover is not included, but may be picked up in person at the Office of the Registrar after degrees have been awarded.
